Spurs, Man City alerted as SWP seeks Chelsea exit

Tottenham and Manchester City are among Premiership clubs alerted to the availability of Chelsea winger Shaun Wright-Phillips.
Wright-Phillips feels so unwanted by the manager, he has complained to close friends about feeling ostracised from the rest of the squad due to his lack of playing time.
Wright-Phillips has two years left on his contract and Chelsea are looking to cash in on him now, with Tottenham a possible destination as they tried to sign him last summer.

Grant insists his Chelsea job safe

Avram Grant insists Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has told him he will be in charge next season.
Grant said: "I spoke with Roman after the match (against Liverpool). It was a private chat but he's happy, very happy. We are in contact.
"I have not spoken with him about my future. My 12-year-old daughter Romi is always asking me why the media want to know if I am staying.
"I tell her they're worried about me, they love me, they're concerned about me.
"My relationship here is good and everything will be OK. The first ambition was to be in the Champions League final, especially in Moscow as it means so much for our Russian owner.
"We did that. And now we are hungry for more success."

Newcastle's Geremi wants Chelsea to win title

Ahead of Monday's clash, Newcastle United midfielder Geremi says Chelsea deserve to win the Premiership this season.
Geremi, 29, said: "Considering how Chelsea fought back from fourth to be in contention, it goes to show they have the strength to go all the way.
"No one gave them a chance five months ago but now it's really exciting. It'll be a deserved win if they manage to keep up their momentum and win the league.
"United have also been in good form and that's why they are the defending Premier League champions.
"But if Chelsea win, I'll be happy for my friends there, and of course there are many of them in London.
"Personally, I don't have to prove anything to Chelsea or anyone but rather to fight hard as a Newcastle player. I'm sorry for Chelsea but that's football.
"It's a very unfortunate situation for them because it's our last game at home, against one of the big teams. We need the result and cannot come out second best.
"We're not going to let them come here and win, that's for sure."
